First of all, how cool is the word “doppelganger”?? It sounds like some kind of event where a herd of large gang members team up to beat someone up (which is the antithesis of the message in the first sentence) (…I think, not really sure if I used “antithesis” correctly).

Second of all, “Doppelganger” is the tentative name to my upcoming animated short! Other than summer schooling and Comic-Conning it up, I’ve been working on this project throughout the summer. All I can right now is that it’s about a guy who keeps unintentionally duplicating himself, and then those doppelgangers keep attacking him. There’s more to it, trust me.

I storyboarded the whole thing on more than 200 notecards, and right now I’m in the “animatic” stage with film in Adobe Flash. Here are some pictures!

The screenshots look kinda bland now… Enter: Caroline! I enlisted the help of Caroline Im to draw backgrounds for the short! This is a drawing she’s been working on:

Now that I think about it, I really don’t have much to show right now. Regardless, everything seems to be going swimmingly. Swimmingly like sharks (speaking of which, I just started watching my Planet Earth blu-ray discs – SO COOL! I just finished the Oceans episode!!). I’m not sure when the film will be finished, I’m aiming for the end of the year, and hopefully complete most of it by the end of summer. Even when it’s finished, I’m not sure what I’ll do with it… although film festivals is an option! It will, of course, eventually go online for everyone to enjoy.
